For the past year the 2004 Jayco has been a faithful camping friend. It provided great comfort and reliability!
In order to provide you with the worlds BEST family camping information at CAMPING-SPOT.COM this year I’ve decided to upgrade to a 2011 Bullet 28QBS. Many factors went into this decision, but primarily I was concerned with the following.
- Buying a camper is an investment (especially if you are hoping to dominate the Blog World with camping information) and with an aging camper, you get to the point of diminishing value if you hold on to it too long. Having an 8 year old camper seemed to be my personal max.
- Repairs and Maintenance – When your camper gets about 8 years old, you have to start thinking about things like the roof, new tires, new batteries, exterior issues, etc. I was not excited about the prospects of having to spend a ton of time pulling my camper to a dealership to have it worked on every month.
- Access to a dealership – The dealership in my hometown closed up shop this year. This means that if I need service, I have a one hour round trip to the nearest trusted RV service center. This was a big issue in my decision to upgrade to a newer model.
- Convenience – The new models have all the bells and whistles, which means there are easier to set up and tear down, which means more time for camping fun! In my next article I will update you on the exciting features of the new Bullet!
